A new cohort group began receiving classes in Cuba in March with 17 students participating in the program, with more expected to join soon. Rev. Jorge Baños, the Academic Vice President and Coordinator of SENDAS’ Postgraduate programs, taught the course entitled The Process of Discipleship and Christian Formation.

This course is part of the Master’s in Religion with concentration in Church Development. SENDAS began the master’s program in Cuba in the year 2002 and this group represents the fourth cycle of the program in this country.

The students come from many ministry backgrounds and the majority are pastors. Some work with the Jesus Film and others are local and district leaders. The two NYI District Presidents are included in this new cohort group.

The next course will be offered in May. SENDAS is grateful to be a part of what God is doing in Cuba!
