The Master’s Degree Cycle in Peru Ends with Much Success

From the 17 to the 28 of September, Dr. Jorge Banos, the Academic Vice President of SENDAS taught in the Educational Center in Peru the course, “Ethical Demands of Holiness” which is part of the Master’s program with emphasis in the Mission of the Church. This Educational Center is located in the city of Chiclayo, in the north of the country of Peru.

There were nine students in this course including pastors from various districts and professors from the Nazarene Biblical Institute of Peru.

Mario Mera Torres said, “It has been a very gratifying time since the study of ethics is something that we lack and is especially important for those beginning in ministry.”

During the time that Dr. Banos was in Chiclayo, four students defended their final projects for the master’s program. Three are pastors and the fourth student is a female professor at the Nazarene Theological Seminary of Peru (STNP). This was the first time that students from Peru completed their graduation requirements for the master’s program. And in the next year, more students are expected to graduate.

This course ends the cycle of courses for the master’s program in the educational center in Peru. There are high expectations that a new cycle will begin in 2013.
