The Executive Board of the Association for the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas Celebrates Annual Meeting

On October 19, 2012, on the main campus of SENDAS in San Jose, Costa Rica, the meetings for the Executive Board of the Institution were held once again.

Those present included the Mesoamerica Regional Director and President of the Association for SENDAS, Dr. Luis Carlos Saenz; the Regional Director for South America, Dr. Christian Sarmiento; the Regional Coordinator for Education for South America and the Treasurer for the Association, Dr. Jorge Julca; the District Superintendent for the Costa Rica North District and Secretary of the Board, Rev. Johnny Calvo; the Pastor for the Central District of Costa Rica and Treasurer, Rev. Sirlene Bustos; and the President of SENDAS and Regional Educational Coordinator for the Mesoamerica Region, Dr. Ruben Fernandez.

According to the data for the last year, 263 professors taught 276 courses in 79 educational centers to 696 students. Of these students, 89% are members of the Church of the Nazarene. Also, it is interesting to note that 30% of the students of the Seminary are Pastors or have a clear pastoral call. The delivery of the courses is varied, including traditional courses (in residence at SENDAS or in decentralized educational centers), online courses, videoconference courses or a mixture of these methods.

We give thanks to the Lord for blessing us with another year of ministry, offering excellent training to the highest number of ministers possible to extend the Kingdom of God.
