The Nazarene Seminary of the Americas (SENDAS), because of God’s provision, has reached heights we never dreamed of. Over the years we’ve strengthened our undergraduate programs and made them accessible in new and exciting ways like videoconference and our online platform. We’ve launched new graduate programs and found better avenues to deliver modern resources to pastors and leaders across the Spanish-speaking world. While 20 years ago our students needed to travel to Costa Rica to receive a graduate degree from a Nazarene institution; today, they can do so from anywhere in the world. We’ve accomplished all of this while continuing to grow and train our faculty, expanding and modernizing our campus and always keeping tuition costs affordable for all.
Even more than any of these successes, what we are most proud of is our students. They are a source of inspiration and strength, impacting their communities for Christ each and every day. Not only are churches being planted and new mission work being started, but entire communities are being transformed through God’s power and their faithfulness.
There’s an old hymn you may have heard that reads:
“There shall be showers of blessing, If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing, If we let God have His way…”
Over the last 20 years we’ve seen these seasons of blessing often as God has provided the resources for SENDAS to carry out our mission. Today, we are hoping you will join me in ushering in a new season of blessings.
As our programs have grown in quantity and quality, we continue to explore ways to fund our mission in healthy and sustainable ways. You may know that SENDAS is one of the premiere conference centers in Costa Rica. We also have an on-site pool, sports facilities and more. We even plant and sell Christmas trees! We are blessed to have developed a great, sustainable model, and as we seek to continue meeting the growing demands for training and education in our world, we need your help to take the next step.
The SENDAS Legacy Fund will provide resources to:
- Establish fund development strategies among SENDAS alumni and friends.
- Improve the continuing education options for SENDAS faculty.
- Expand professional development opportunities for SENDAS staff.
- Purchase resources and equipment needed for SENDAS staff, faculty and facilities.
Will you join us in ushering in a new season of blessings?
