In 2011, the first agreement for pastoral educational growth was ratified between the two organizations: Nazarene Seminary of the Americas (SENDAS) and the Federation of the Evangelical Alliance for Costa Ricans (FEAC). More recently, on July 27 on the SENDAS campus, an updated agreement was signed which established new parameters for the development of both institutions.

The agreement was signed by representatives of SENDAS, Dr. Ruben Fernandez, President, and Andres Fernandez, Coordinator of Undergraduate programs and by representatives of FEAC, Dr. Jorge Gomez, President of the Board, and Mauricio Valverde, Director of the Pastoral College. Also, in attendance were Dr. Jorge Banos, SENDAS Academic Vice President and Franlym Pena.

The objective of the agreement is that both institutions can grow and help each other to improve the theological education of the Costa Rican pastors, offering a higher level of education to those students who show interest in continuing their studies. This agreement states that after completing the Extension Training Program offered by FEAC, those students who complete the admission requirements may register for the Bachelor degree in Pastoral Theology program offered by SENDAS.

For SENDAS, it is a great blessing to collaborate with the FEAC to prepare the servants of the Lord in this country, giving opportunities to those who see the need for theological education as a key part of their development so they can have a transformational ministry in their community today.
