On September 27, 2015 in Miami, Florida, SENDAS signed an agreement with Hispanic Ministries and the program of Specialized Nazarene Theological Education (ENTE for its letters in Spanish) of the USA/Canada Region to collaborate in the educational preparation of Latino students in the USA and Canada.

This agreement – a request of Dr. Roberto Hodgson, Coordinator of Multicultural Ministries for the United States and Canada – consists in offering the Bachelor degree in Pastoral Theology as an online program for those students who have completed the courses for ordination and have graduated from the ENTE program or from one of the District Ministerial Study Centers of the Hispanic Area, USA/Canada. These studies include 44 courses as well as four practical experiences.

Dr. Jorge Banos, Academic Vice President of SENDAS, was present for the signing of the agreement. This occurred as part of the scheduled meetings of Dr. Hodgson with the Superintendents of the Hispanic Districts and the Hispanic Area Coordinators for the USA/Canada Region.

Dr. Banos shares with us his experience on this significant occassion: “This agreement opens another door for SENDAS outside of the Mesoamerica Region. Also, this is the first time that our Institution has the blessing of having an agreement of this magnitude, to serve our beloved Hispanic church in the United States and Canada. I could feel in the moment of the signing, the great emotion and satisfaction that this agreement brings both for the present and the future for the Biblical and ministerial preparation of the servants of the Lord of the Hispanic Church of the Nazarene.”

For our Institution, this new achievement is a pleasure and a privilege on the road towards fulfilling the vision that guides and inspires us: “To train with the highest level of excellence, the greatest number of ministers for the extension of the Kingdom of God.”
