Beginning in January of 2013, SENDAS will offer a new concentration in the Bachelor degree program: Holistic Child Development.

On July 14, 2012, SENDAS signed an agreement in collaboration with CETI-FK: Centro de Estudios Teológicos Interdisciplinarios-Fundación Kairós (Center of Interdisciplinary Theological Studies – Kairos Foundation) in Argentina, to promote and develop the program.

The program exists to prepare professionals and Christian leaders in the advocacy of childhood and adolescence to promote Christian focused programs that respond to the social, emotional and spiritual issues in this sector of the population, namely, childhood.  This new concentration also has the backing of Compassion International (CI), Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) and the Kairos Foundation.

The Bachelor program in Holistic Child Development includes 44 courses, 4 field experiences and a final research project.  All the courses will be offered online.  Some of the courses in this specialty include the following:  Biblical and Theological Foundation in Child and Adolescent Ministry, Panorama of the Child and Adolescent in Latin America, Adolescence and Sexuality, The Transformation and Development of the Community, among other interesting courses.

Those interested in the program will have the option to take only the 14 specialty courses and after successful completion, SENDAS will award a Certificate in Holistic Child Development.
