The Nazarene Seminary of the Americas (Sendas), and HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) have signed a mutually beneficial agreement to train and equip Spanish-speaking pastors and leaders worldwide. Through the agreement, the two entities -leaders in their respective fields- will work together to provide training & resources based on the bibles and books published by HCCP, which includes the well-known spanish publishing imprints Editorial Vida, Grupo Nelson and Editorial CLIE .

Sendas will provide access to its wide network of professors and first level speakers, which are part of the faculty of the institution. HCCP, in turn, will recruit thousands of people through its various channels of influence (social networks, email, etc.) to webinars offered jointly by the two institutions. HCCP is already offering this type of webinars regularly (at no cost to the participants), which are attended by thousands of people live via the internet. In addition to providing professors and lecturers for the seminars, Sendas will offer exclusive benefits for the attendees: an attendance certificate endorsed by the institution, continuing education credits, and more. In addition, as an added benefit for attendees who are not students of Sendas, the institution will waive its annual enrollment fee for those interested in starting or continuing their theological studies through the its online programs.

Since the beginning of the agreement in February, three joint webinars have already been hosted. The first, «Jesus and the Prophets» was presented by the MsC. Juan Carlos Sánchez and had a live attendance of 958 people and more than 4,500 registered. The second, presented by Dr. Rubén Fernández and entitled «Joshua: 7 keys to outstanding leadership» had 5,254 registered and 1,163 live attendees. Finally, CLIE author Lic. Lucas Magnín, offered the webinar «What is Postmodernity? An introduction,” based on his new book Christianity and Postmodernity which also had excellent attendance. All registered people receive the video of the webinar after the live broadcast, and on average more than 4,000 people see each webinar either live or on video. 50% of the attendees are senior pastors or associates in Spanish-speaking churches, with a balanced geographic distribution (20% US, 20% Mexico, 25% Central America, 30% South America and 5% from other countries like Spain). You can see the webinar videos (in Spanish) on the HCCP Bibles and CLIE channels.

Both Sendas and HCCP hope that the union of their efforts will have a profound impact on the training and training of ministers around the world.
