Rev. Andres Fernandez, SENDAS professor, taught two courses in Cuba in June. From June 6-10 in Havana at the Setenac campus, Professor Fernandez taught the course entitled Community and Fellowship in Youth Ministry to 18 students. Then from June 13 – 17, he taught the same course in the city of Holguin to 14 students.

The courses are part of the Certificate in Youth Ministry program. SENDAS is working alongside the Regional NYI to prepare leaders to minister to youth.

Professor Fernandez shares this about his experience in Cuba: “It was a marvelous experience to know so many leaders called by God to transform the next generation. Each one of them has an incredible potential as they place their lives in God’s hands. Many of them had to travel many hours to be able to arrive to the study center where they stayed all week, sacrificing their work and family time.”

In SENDAS, we always remember our brothers and sisters in Cuba. As we bring them formal preparation, we receive from them many lessons about faith in Christ.
