In the month of November, SENDAS was blessed to receive an Information Technology (IT) team led by Josh Williams, missionary with the Church of the Nazarene in Global IT and Global Partnerships. The team consisted of seven people who all live in the northwest of the United States, the majority living in Idaho. The team not only worked at SENDAS, but also with Mesoamerica Communications and Mesoamerica Central Area Office, both located on the SENDAS campus.

The IT specialists included these seven people:

Josh Williams

Brandi Johnston-Williams

Ryan Arnold

Jason Hernandez

Loren Bailey

Ben Moore

Roger Kellogg

The team worked long hours each day with the goal of unifying the Internet. They removed all individual routers since they were not functional well and put in a new system. According to Roger Kellogg, this system is an improvement since “all the wireless devices work together to provide more consistent Wi-Fi.” They also added a Firewall for security. For SENDAS, they combined the multiple Internet connections into one. Now the entire campus has better Internet speed.

Since the Seminary is a large campus with 15 acres of land, the team installed Nano Beam dishes to link together the different areas of campus. Previously, the system was split into separate networks, but now there is just one unified system.

It was a pleasure for SENDAS to have the IT team on campus, and we thank them for helping to make our work in theological education easier through improved Internet access. God bless each one of you for your hard work, even in the pouring rain, to improve the Internet at SENDAS.
