SENDAS and Church of the Nazarene’s Florida district seal agreement

On February 25, 2019, an agreement between SENDAS and the Florida district of the Church of the Nazarene was signed. Through this joint effort, SENDAS will aid Hispanic students from ministerial centers in completing their Bachelor’s Degree in Theology with an emphasis on Pastoral Ministry.

The work will begin with 4 centers located in different key points of the state of Florida, in order to reach students who wish to be part of this important ministerial growth opportunity. The course calendar will begin in August 2019 and it is expected that more than 20 leaders and pastors from the district will participate. The courses will be taught via videoconference mode, which involves the use of cameras and microphones to communicate with the teacher and students in the different centers. The equipment used is excellent in quality but also comes at a very affordable price. This allows SENDAS to reach the highest possible number of students.

It is a privilege for our institution to serve the Church of the Nazarene in the United States thanks to the invitation of the Intercultural Ministries leaders of the USA/Canada Region. We certainly continue striving to fulfill our vision to train with the greatest excellence, the highest possible number of ministers, for the extension of the Kingdom of God. Our greatest desire is that through the formation of these brave servants of the Lord, He can continue to impact the communities where they minister.

With this agreement, the Florida district joins other districts in the United States that have relied on SENDAS for the training of their theology students. If you or your district are interested in an agreement similar to this, you can write to SENDAS Degree Coordinator, Mr. Andrés Fernández, at aefernandez@seminarionazareno.net who will gladly answer your questions.

We deeply appreciate the efforts made by Dr. Edgar Díaz, coordinator of Hispanic ministries, Rev. Nancy Cortés, Director of theological studies in Spanish, and district superintendent Dr. Larry Dennis. Thank you for trusting our institution for such an important task. We are fully convinced that we will see great fruits for the Kingdom of God through this strategic partnership.
