Given the great number of inquiries from students and candidates received on Facebook, and as an initiative of SENDAS’s Unity of Technological Excellence (UET in Spanish), the virtual assistant, “Samantha,” has come to life.

This launch is possible after arduous and extensive programming via interdepartmental consultations, led by Rev. Andres Fernandez who oversees UET. During these consultations, questions and answers to those questions often asked by Facebook users as well as inquiries left on the SENDAS website were considered. As a result they compiled the intelligent automation of responses with excellent results.

Without losing the quality of human contact which has always characterized our institution, a first line of communication offering detailed automatic responses was needed, not only because of the quantity of the inquiries but because of the various hours, including weekends, during which we received them.

Pastor Angela Santos de Ureña, a Metro New York district student studying to receive the Masters in Orientation of the Family, says:

“I have studied in various institutions and have never received the attention that I have received from SENDAS not only from the professors but also the technical and administrative personnel. This says a lot because there are other places that disconnect after you pay, and you are left on your own to resolve a situation however you can. Really, with SENDAS, I have seen your interest and follow up toward me as a student for which I am very grateful. Regarding the new assistant ‘Samantha,’ it works really well, it was very easy to register and the additional information I needed was sent by the person in charge of registration, Margarita De Trinidad, via a WhatsApp audio.”

Pastor Elí Porras from Peru, a student in the master’s degree program in Bible and theology shared, “The use of technology in education is important, and the virtual assistant ‘Samantha,’ is a great example of that. Thank you, SENDAS, for making life easier resolving our concerns instantly.”

We welcome “Samantha” to our SENDAS team!
