From June 19 – 24, SENDAS representatives participated in the General Assembly Exhibit hall in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Ruben Fernandez, Dr. Monica Fernandez, Andres Fernandez, Jorge Baños, Gaby Bustos and Shelley Webb represented the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas at the booth.

Thousands of Nazarenes entered the exhibit hall during the six-days exhibit. The hall included many exhibits including Global Mission Regions, various Educational Institutions and Nazarene Publishing House. The SENDAS representatives visited with many people about educational opportunities, CALL (Christian Academy of Language and Learning), Work and Witness and the School of Leadership book series. Many Nazarenes enjoyed the Café Britt coffee chews and the SENDAS bookmarks offered at the exhibit.

Two volunteers assisted SENDAS at the exhibit: Emily Eaton from Nashville, Tennessee and Joshua Webb from Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Shelley Webb shares, “The exhibit is always a great opportunity for SENDAS to share how God is blessing the Seminary. Many potential online students passed by to visit about opportunities, whether in theological education or in Spanish classes. I know many new contacts were made during the six days of the exhibit hall.”

SENDAS was also mentioned in the evening service when Dr. Jerry Porter spoke about the Seminary and the church planting that occurred by students when the San Pedro de Poas church was planted. It was a very special moment of recognition for SENDAS and the leaders throughout the years.

SENDAS looks forward to the next General Assembly in 2017 when once again the leaders will represent the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas to the global church.
